An 83-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning when he was hit by a car while trying to cross Burnet Road at Richcreek Road. William Boykin, who was using a walker, was crossing Burnet when the light turned green, and he was hit by a Honda Civic, police said. It was dark at the time of the incident and the driver told police that he did not see the man until the crash, police said. No charges are expected to be filed.
